In this week's episode, Adam Carr confesses that he didn't really connect with the Thomas Sully retrospective at the Milwaukee Art Museum. So, he took to the galleries to chat with fellow museum goers, to ask what they were seeing. Then he went to the authority, William Rudolph, who co-curated the exhibit and invested eight years of scholarship into the show. Rudolph makes some compelling observations about the power of beauty and the pleasures of simple, pretty works of art. Here is Art City contributor Stacey Williams-Ng's review of the show: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/entertainment/228324551.html.
