I like this. Its not as oppressive as some of the minimal type stuff out there.
-
@AdrianLione: the last thing i'd want would be to be oppressive!

also this part is great I love it, man I wish I could make tracks like you do i just started to get adjusted to Live suite 8 coming from logic pro 8 I definitely love Ableton more than Logic, sounds even better, the the work flow is faster in Live.

huge, heavy, messy and powerful... feels like an absolutely insane dance floor, but at half speed, in reverse, and underwater...?? what on earth man.. this is great
-
@Lunch Kit: hi lunch kit! glad you dig it. it kinda slows down time, doesnt it? (well, if you let it). really accompanies several intoxicating substances VERY well.
-

I like the sounds and overall fel. I'd have done a melodic change here.
-
@ndrobinson: heh. i would LOVE to, but i CANT. as long as i havent figured out chordspace (a vst-plugin). slainte!

is the "melody" (more a cheap-*ss syncopation) TOO simple? (well, ya know, playing "live" on a computer keyboard does not leave me enough space^^). i really think about changing that once the REAL keyboard is here. y/n?
- ndrobinson on November 12, 2008 18:41
@Abreaktor: for what it's worth, I like the "un-rea;" keyboard sound, although maybe you could replace it with a different keyboard sound later in the piece.
-
@ndrobinson: that "sound" is a pure sine. so, changing it should be simple, since EVERYTHING else is more refined compared to the base sond =D
-
@Abreaktor: It is like Ibiza is popping up after a long journey over a peaceful sea, but the gulfstream is moving you away from it again, into the glistering waves. It's a yes to your question :)

I really appreciate your artistical way. I feel a great potential and I'm delighted to follow and discover you more!
-
@valvini: possibly you dont know how much that means to me... i did take every idea that did not fit in the other songs and made this one, basically to make them unavailable for me (i dont use things twice). those ideas were just too much and "killed" some really nice and simple stuff.... thanks a lot!

What on earth causes this weird-ass wavefoooorm....?
-
@nhomas: which one exactly? i fooled around with the reverb space here and automatised it from ~10 to 100 (or something) in ~16 steps. might have to do with the inherent latency of my onboard soundcard, too^^
-
@Abreaktor: Man, I don't even know what's going on anymore. This track's waveform just looks really weird. But it looks different in this display than it did in the display I was looking at it in when I made that comment. Basically you've got something REALLY bizarre going on with this track, but it sounds like you don't have any more idea what it is than I do.
-
@nhomas: since this track is from a rather early stage of producing (hadnt heard of compressions etc)... how about: little to no compression? that definitely changes waveforms. otoh, i dont get that many comments on my waveforms to catch your drift immediately, i guess. fwiw~
