Marija Dunn has been firing up dance floors from Europe, to South Africa and the U.S.
She was born in Belgrade Serbia, and grew up during the electronic music boom happening there in late nineties. Due to tough political and economical situation of her country at that time, the dance floor and underground electronic music parties became her outlet.
She moved to Phoenix Az. in 2000, where she achieved a notable Dj career. Some of her most significant residences during her life in Arizona were, Mondrian Hotel, Cin-Cin Afterhours, Acua Supperclub, Crown Room.
Cin-Cin “afterhours” and Crown Room’s “Tech-House Thursdays” presented by her, were her effort to take some attention off the dominant Top 40 music in the Az's largest entertainment area, and open peoples ears and minds to other sounds.Through those parties, she as well focused on supporting and promoting local Dj talent, and building stronger house music community in Az.
In 2011 she moved to San Francisco, Ca, where she shortly after became a resident DJ at “Base ItalyUnderground” Thursday nights at club Vessel. Her energy and ability to light up any dance floor has been earning her respect on the extensive electronic and house music scene in SF. Since her move she became one of the staple Dj’s on SF scene as well.
