I got to thinking about my auditory transitory past... and I knew for certain that it was the sound of Julie Andrews singing 'The hills are alive with the sound of music,' that first caught my attention as a child artist and it remains one of my favorite songs and films of all time... and then I thought as a Canadian about all of the other wonderful artists from the 49th parallel that have influenced me over the years... K.D Lang, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlin, Shania Twain, Loreena Mckennit, Daniel Lanois, Blue Rodeo, Arcade Fire to name a mere few...

and I realised that we usually only ever talk about all of the really famous musicians and well, soundcloud is different. It's a new kind of musical place for all sorts of people, from all walks of life all around the world and so I offer you a small list of the SC artists I"ve had the exquisite pleasure of hearing over the past 2 years who have given me so much support, all of the these wonderful emerging artists right here in the cloud....

oh and of course the most important thing about me: I will forever remain a child at heart and so I have attempted to make that audible in my audiobiography:-)
