With our superpowers combined…

Back in 2010, Dirty Dan and Eddie Hoey found themselves booked to DJ at
the same show in a dark and dingy basement in the lower east side of NYC. After
the initial stare down was over, they saw what each other could do and
were impressed with each other’s sounds and energy. For the first time
in a long time, playing alongside someone else was FUN and the crowd
felt it. We all knew what had to happen next. This vibe had to be
channeled, it’s power had to be harnessed and the music had to be
shared. After one studio session and a couple of chats online, the
top-secret plan to collaborate on an album was set forth.

Dirty and Eddie were both featured as remixers on Drop it Like for RIS
Labs back in 2010,
but that was only the beginning of the journey. Combined, their
originals and remixes have received support from the likes of Green
Velvet, Santiago and Bushido,
The Bulgarian, Larry Tee, Armin Van Buuren, D-Phrag, Dj Funk & Derek
Howell, Danny Tenaglia, DJ Vibe, and the Scumfrog to name just a few.
If you listen to their tracks on Beatport, you will find
these two guys obviously had similar styles that were evolving
rapidly. No time was better than the present to join together
and combine their superpowers for complete dance floor domination.

One session at a time they created the ultimate trip down into the
world of dark and hard disco-tech-house. Dirty Dan’s flair for pop
remixes and techno darkness mixed with Eddies tribal, minimalist
meets tech-house funk resulted in none other than SHE SAYS.

Dirty Dan and Eddie Hoey had sounds that the universe put on a
collision course way before they ever even met. Once they made the
jump into Mind Ability Records – UK the sound evolved on its own, and now
their EP ‘Take me to Miami’ is due out March 15th 2013.

Stay tuned for more mind-blowing romps through disco's past, present and future…
There will be much more to come from this dynamic duo.
