Marcelo Medeiros was born predestinatet to music. His first contact with vinyls happend when he was still a teenager, following the steps of his family who works at the radio stations. At 1984 he begun to work at Antena 1 FM Radio, cleaning and arranging the collection of radio vinyls, keeping in his own memory a musical encyclopedia.

The disco’ hits had all his attention – Gloria Gaynor and Barry White were his major references, and having them in his mind, he travelled to USA to graduate in TV and Radio. At age of 16 he was already trying to mix in two pickups Mk II. At USA he also met a new and different sound that caught his attention: it was Chicago House, at his highest point of success at that time and still unknown in Brazil.

He enjoyed the opportunitty and all the knowledge he adquired when came back to Brazil, to work at FM’s radios. The 1990′s were at begginning and Marcelo saw the raise of House Music meanwhile was developing his carreer as broadcadster and communicator. For some years he decided to be apart from pickups and mixing and between 1992 and 1994 he spent some time in USA working at Voice of America’s radio ( Washington D.C ).

When Marcelo cames back to Curitiba – Brazil, he found a really good cenary to all the news he brought with him. Eletronic music was emerging as a strong movement, with Local DJs conquering space step by step. Travelling through France – where he spent some time at Radio France – and London, the willing of being a DJ comes back strongly. Marcelo made some researches and came back to Brazil again with a great collection of songs and new sounds, coming back for good to the mixers.

Developing sets that travels from DeepHouse, Disco, Jazzy, Brazilian Grooves and Soulfull, Marcelo Medeiros is always searching for the new songs, even though he includes in his sets many references that reminds his career as broadcaster and all he knew through his More than twenty years’ work at Radio Stations. Those references works as great bases and inspiration. Marcelo Medeiros is a stongly name of House Music in the southern Brazil.
Today he devotes most of the time coordinating a group of four radio stations, remixing in the studio, and takes care of his successful project: DiscothequeRadio.Com ( Heard in Over 80 Countries ) & DiscothequeRecordings ( Featuring Brazilian Producers, who had not previously had the opportunity to show the talent ).
