New High Powered Boys video out next week !

There’s some brand new product coming out from the Marble Studios. Surkin and Bobmo, as the infamous High Powered Boys, just had five hot units churned out from their track plant, packaged together as an EP called Streetwise. And this sure comes from the street, but this is more about the proper streets here : concrete grounds, glass buildings, traffic lights, crazy car horns, tail pipes fumes and screeching tires. All the tunes here exhale pressure and combustion : drums hit like car crashes, bass thump like a giant crowd coming at you when you’re walking the wrong way, synths mime the confusing soundscape of the modern metropolis. This is raw urban expressionist music, made of shocks and obtuse angles more than regular beats and melodies, shunning any kind of sweetness, except for the the serene, early morning classic « Chords ». The four other tracks are obscene and obsessive versions of electrofunk, ballroom and ghetto house, electrified animals designed to rock crowds and minds, or just evil creatures with a distinct sense of groove for the masses of tomorrow.

    Tracklist:
