It's an amazing idea! First I thought "instrument" was created by you, but as I understand, it is a part of the a toy-piano. Am I right? I has been thinking of constructing such a thing for some time now... Very, very nice!

I think the idea of 'multistability' in perception is applicable to this sound: One hears rhythmic and melodic patterns in the chaotic percussion of hail. Great stuff.
