About
I'm a Belgian born in 1970, being a music addict from childhood.
Started making electronic music in 1989 by joining two friends who were already nuts about electronic music but the difference was that I was buying records (without being a DJ) while they were buying synthesizers. Soon I was buying both. We released 3 maxi singles in the early nineties, under the name Brown Hardware, Inc.
It was an exciting time being a whole new area of music that interested me and was totally underground. Unfortunately I lost slight interest in electronic music when it became more accepted by the larger crowd and when the music itself became more commercialized. During that time I started traveling and didn’t have any equipment.
The country of my choice was India and it created scope for many other experiences in life such as its culture, vivid colors, stunning rhythms, the exhilarating street life, the festivals, etc. The Indian music got me back on track and I converted my PC into a full homemade studio, by matter of speaking, and started creating electronic music again.
Currently I use the artist name 'mantris' and creating my own style of music with integrating many Indian samples in my music although nobody could tell!
