Hi, Mainly Influenced By American 80's Rap/Hiphop With Everything Else Thrown In, Often referred to as a Genre/Gender/Bender All My Trax Are True Stories.
As A Songwriter I Also Luv To Write Different Genres & Earl was In Memory Of Edward Earl Johnson A Young Innocent Black Man Wrongly Executed On Death Row And Documented In Tha 80's BBC Film." 14 Days In May".
I'd just started gettin Major label interest when i was struck down with M.E.
Tha Medical Profession Said Tha Dream Was Over "Time For A Sedate Life Of Cocoa & Slippers".
But after testing tha waters with a home demo album and then winning a prime time Channel 4 competition to write a track for Victoria beckam from over 5000 enteries,
It encouraged me back into tha studio & five years later July 2011 saw Tha Self Funded Release Of My 13 Track Album "Nobody Wants To Know Ya When Ya Nobody" . Recorded At Unsigned Studios In St Albans Herts & produced & Mastered By Shane Shanahan. Available For Digital Download On All Major Sites & Hard Copies Available on Amazon. All Proceeds Of Downloads Of "I Cant Stand Tha Rain" Will Be Donated To The Charity; http://investinme.org/ who are trying to raise funds for a research centre.
I Also use music as a platform to raise awareness of this horrendous illness as theres still alot of ignorance.
A single (I Stole) Your Song followed which was my rap take on Eltons Your song and met with positive amusement & comments from music journalists like " I nearly choked on my Cocoa pops when i heard this"
There was then a collaboration with composer Jose Moya from spain. I dont usually do long distant collabs but having already heard some of Jose's stuff, when he contacted me to ask if i would like to write somthing for a track he had called GIVE U, i jumped at tha chance & tha trax being recieved well & we hope to work together again at some point.
I've just started work on tha 2nd album, its been hindered slightly due to a cancer scare and major Op in may but I should be ready to roll again at tha start of 2013 when i'm bettered recovered and muscles are stronger.
Support is growin, & my fans are known as LionHarts after tha album track. I'm getting good reviews, radio play & interviews, So as I always say "A Dream Only Ends When Ya Stop Trying"
If you're still awake at this point, thanx for Tuning In stay blessed, Mama Chill ;) xxx
