Makedon is a North American electronic musician of Russian descent. He is most often regarded as the man who pioneered the horny Balkan vibe into the electronic music community in the Northwest. His dj sets, flawlessly fusing the wild passionate Romani energy with the big phat whompy techno beats, have filled dance floors with joyous revelers around the region since Spring 2011. During this time envisioned and defined a new musical style he dubbed Gypsoteka. He produced a massive library of remixes and mushaps of Gypsy tracks that he used to rock dancefloors Some of them ended up also rocking the charts on Beatport. He instigated a series of notorious parties showcasing this new style. He also formed close loving partnership with one of Seattle's premier underground event producers: LiveNLove. That landed him on the decks of some amazing events such Tribal and Photosynthesis. This winter will mark Makedon's international debut wit the release of a couple of his remixes on Jawala Records in Germany.
