    Straight field recording made around midnight on June 28th, 2010. the location was in front of a small pond near a forest house in Southeast Estonia. Equipment used was a pair of Audio-Technica AT4021 cardioids run into an SD MixPre and recorded on an Edirol R-09.

      Nice composition: very well balanced bringing amazing breadth between the foreground frogs and off into the distance. There is a warm quality to the resonance of the bird calls - perhaps a characteristic of ORTF in wooded setting?

      The soft spread of the 'underneath sounds' are lovely on this track, warming the wrapped quiet through into the distance.
