Orchestral group for original symphonic orchestral music
I'm pretty much finished with the writing of this now. Just a few tweaks to go and I will leave it and move on to part 2. Then I can come back to it in a month or so with my perspective refreshed. I had a hard disk failure in the middle of writing it - it was the disk with half of my string samples in, so even after I had got another disk it took a few days to fill it back up again:( On the other hand, having a full symphony orchestra set up in my front room every morning would be a bit of a drag too, so shouldn't whinge ;-)

Beautiful melody and orchestration, calls to mind Elgar/Vaughan Williams at the top of their game!

@m l dunn: have updated this file with the tweaks - just a few cymbals and sfx. Gonna have a rest now.

You're on form here Mike, this is bloody brilliant! It's almost like a DJ set with recurrent themes and motifs running through it. I think this is the most effective so far you've combined the symphonic and electronic elements together.

The way you have built the orchestral flow is terrific, a neat counterpoint !

so here it is, the first of four 15 min movements. thanks to everyone who encouraged me through the graft and pointed out the errors of my ways where appropriate :) There's still a couple of tweaks I want to make but it's pretty much there now imho
