LX Nen isn't real. He's just a jumble of letters taken from a car numberplate. Despite that, LX Nen has drunk over 49,400 cups of tea and has been in a permanaent state of nearly having finished his first 'proper' album since sometime in 2002.

LX Nen no longer lives in Romford, but he has a visual tour of it recorded on his website.

Garagband.com users voted LX's "D G L" as the 648th best electronica track of all time.

LX Nen Andrew Robinson, Worcester, Britain (UK)

Sigue Sigue Sputnik released a cover version of this. Seriously. Go look up "Albinoni vs Star Wars".

There was a little drawing of a heart next to that. Followed by an exclamation mark. The back of his was covered in stuff like Brandon's not a very nice guy, but Alex is sooo nice...

That bass sound feels so right, it's as if it's been missing from Depeche Mode's original for the last 22 years,

Nicely done, and not too close to "Beatbox" by the Art of Noise which used similar samples nearly 30 years ago, back when an 8-bit Fairlight sampler cost as much as a house.

Sounds like a finished track (and a mighty fine one!) to me too - how are you guys planning/coordinating the jam?

Wow! I think this is the first time since the bitcrusher or possibly the granulator that I've heard something that needs a new word to be added to the traditional list of chorus, phaser, flanger, reverb etc.

Fascinating stuff - I wonder, would slopes beyond 100% be a way of gradually shutting down taps, to allow smooth transitions between (say) 32 and 8 taps? Would more than -100% shut off the early part of the reverse reverb, effectively creating a pre-delayed reverse reverb?

@cloudarchitect: A couple of years ago, actually. You're probably picking up on the inspiration for the track though, I started with the same structure and BPM as "Beatbox (Diversion 1)" by the Art of Noise, which was well ahead of it's time when it came out in 1984. The two tracsk are not actually all that similar, but I think this has a bit of the 'Fairlight Page R' vibe, and of course they both end with a fade to piano solo.

I've given you a spin, and a link from the Underworld fan forum - amazing work, even if I'd have liked to hear more of the original showing through (perhaps the verse lryics between the 1 and 2 minute marks?)
