-
@MoPetto:Thanks Mo, let me know how it goes! I'm working on a melody to add to this... Something to carry the middle section a bit more. Glad you like it though :_

this whole segment beginning at 1.23 through 2.28 is the coolest groove of the track. and then after 2.46 it's cool but the most groove is right in here and i love it.

I really dislike reason (cause of the handling, the cheesy presets...) but the sound architecture of your track is pretty outstanding...Never thought such clear sounds could be achieved out of this shitty program. A really nice ambient tune, love it!
-
@gommoral: yeah man, I feel the same way about Reason lately. I used to use it a lot, but have grown to like Logic so much more. This track was originally made in reason, so I decided to redo it in reason as well. It was hard to make it sound like that, lol. And I still want to redo it in Logic cause it still doesn't sound quite right to me. thanks for the listen! :)

this is a rework of an old track. made in Reason for a change, but I'm not sure if I like the sound quality. I'll prolly fine tune it in Logic... Lemme know how it sounds! :)Hello computor Uploaded by Lunchtray Start following Send a message on July 01, 2009 19:39

Lovely stuff man, well worth getting back into! A nice deep subby kick would turn it into an atmospheric monster!

yes I agree there is space for another dominant rythmic element. It somehow also feels a bit acidy...so maybe a bit more screaming/modulated lead could do wonders as well...? Has already lots of good character though so don't ruin it!! ;-)
-
@SCHMUCKFENSTER: cheers man. thanks for the feedback. it encourages me to open this up and take another look at it. heck, maybe even finish it :-p

@Lunchtray: Yeah, fresh and summery. Scattered like beats. Its tracks like these that everyone hears and tries to make a track just like it, but never quite getting it right. Lead the way sir!
- Slim Steve Allen on June 10, 2009 17:48
@Slim Steve Allen: Its the balance between dry/wet and electronic/organic, the right balance of melody/FX+beats which makes this so good. Spot on

dude i like how you handled the music during this little vocal sample.. not only is that sample hot but i like how you do a small break in the rhythm while the vocals play.. sort of like it passes the momentum of the rhythm onto the vocals. i really like it.
-
@mostlyfodder: yeah it's nice to give the rhythm a break for a second...it's hard work always carrying the momentum! hehe thanks bro

Maybe a bit too repetitive, but the sax and that rhythmic synth are lovely. Also, good take on rhythm.
