I picture myself under water here... looking at something comming towards. Is it friend or foe?... probably won't know until the end of the tune.
-
@Just In Watts: Thank you, friend. That is in fact Humphrey, a great blue whale. Despite his intimidating presence, he is very gentle and kind

Great track - like it how the guitar (loop?) adds in here. BTW: Steve Reich is a great influence for some of us, I guess - heard him life with "Music for 10 musicians" in Cologne not so long ago...
-
@Visuelle-Musik: Thanks! I'm jealous. Mr. Reich hasn't performed around my end of the world since I've discovered him. And may I say... your music is brilliant!

This is shaping up to be a mind blowing listening session man, really outlandish yet musical journeys, love the pipes(?) in this, how did they come about???
-
@Romart: this might sound strange, but until you pointed it out I never even recognized the celtic flair in this one! now that's all i hear. Believe it or not, i'm pretty sure every sound in this came from a cheap casio keyboard run through a mess of guitar pedals... i think that bagpipe sound was probably an "oboe" or something with some distortion on it, haha
- vanhainkoti on March 24, 2009 08:16
@Lunch Kit: Hahahah!
-
@Lunch Kit: Fantastic haha, just goes to show how different people hear different music.... differently! Beautiful stuff..

i quite like this density. sort of forces the ear deep within to find all of the minute particles, and particles aplenty! i love the intense care you attend to your tracks with. very much sounds woven with heart and soul. brilliant
-
@Mr. Squirrel: merci, monsieur squirrel. I'd like to echo your kind words.. you've managed to craft some beautiful pieces of music. You've got a sound you can call your own; keep going!

I really love what you do with noise mate, too many people consider it unusable ;) This is really deep and intense atmospheric filth. Is this the voice from earlier by any chance?
-
@Romart: thanks again! this ridiculous track is the result of a crazy jam i had with with a friend of mine with a similar set up (guitar effects pedals, mixers and various sound sculpting devices). he goes by the name Sunheart on this site... he's also part of "The illLoopinaughty." check that stuff out, it's good too! I think, for this track, the only noise source was a lullaby cassette tape

This disintegration is awesome, this is my favourite of yours so far, perfect track. Did you take the sample yourself?
-
@Romart: Yeah, i recorded bits of a house party and figured they worked well in this context... i have a habit of taking a portable recorder with me almost everywhere I go. Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments man! for real.
-
@Lunch Kit: Dude, I could have written an essay on listening to your stuff the other night, so comments are fully deserved. That party recording is awesome! Really gives the track its atmosphere and places the listener in the room. Gorgeous.
