Lula Granji is the dynamic Boulder-based trio of Braden Waller, Hiroki Collins and Marshall van Swaay that have been electrifying audiences across the Front Range with their genre-bending sight and sound experience. Lula Granji blends psychedelic dance-rock, blues, breakbeats, trance, worldbeat, and funk, all of which help create their ethereal soundscape. Their unique style combines free form improvisation, shredding guitar, masterful pre-production and hard driving beats. Their music is both dance inspiring and thought provoking, while their live performances stimulate all of the senses ;)
Setting them apart from other acts are Lula’s visual projectionist, Kyle Monks, and Hula Hoop Performer, Alyssa McClelland, who plays with both LED and fire hoops during their shows. Together they provide the crowd with unrivaled visual aesthetics.
The band are all students at CU Boulder and began jamming as freshmen in 2009, officially forming Lula Granji in 2010. All three musicians have been honing their craft since before high school and each member is a multi-instrumentalist who contributes layers of sound on every track.
