A homemade demo for my song "Grumble Castle"
@Luke Frazier: Poetry then! The way you think of it is why we like it.
@The Flaps: It's actually "Tiger tasting ladies". A pun on "cat's got your tongue" (or at least that's how I thought of it!)
Tiger tasty ladies?
@Mark Lyell: Thank you! This is obviously an old one of mine, and it was really an experiment to see how far I could push my recording tech using keyboards to simulate loads of instruments. It's a whacky one and a bit sloppy for sure, but thanks for listening!
The song itself is pretty good but the two things that stand out are that the vocals are a tad shrill for my liking and I've never been a fan of an instrument copying the vocal melody in unison, but it's just a matter of taste. I decided to scroll down and listen to a random song rather than the conventional comment on one of the top ones, minor criticism aside, solid pop sensibilites shine through as they do on all your stuff
It has been long time since I listened to this last, but it sounds even better now! Very powerful stuff, dude.
Yeah not a fan of the sound of the horns, but it's pretty hard to get realistic sounding horns without paying for it. Still a very nice track, so happy and it just sounds fun, nice work
@Flawgic: Yeahh....working with the extremely limited resources I have, that was the best I could pull on my little keyboard. More of made to get the idea of what the future can sound like. It's made for the mood though! A triumphant ending to a long quest! So thank you for listening!
That horn synth is a little goofy, but I really like the whole mood of this song!
@Sparky Sherrill: Exactly! If I were to put out an album, this would be the closer, so I wanted it to be packed with emotion, and totally goofy and fun way to exit everything!
Not even one minute in and the vocals express so much meaning.
@Raven Underground: I have no idea how I stopped following you Tom! I'm mildly confused. BUT THANK YOU! I like how yr first comment is still on here of "lower that brass" too of course! Hopefully in a couple of months, said brass can be fixed and everything! Extremely appreciated man.
I followed you a long time ago, like a year or something. I thought you should know I come back every now and then to listen to this song. For whatever reason it taps into some deep-seated nostalgia, and it makes me really happy. I'm not usually one for gay comments like this, but I really like this song. (turn the brass down though haha!)
@Meloklasm: D'aww. Well thank you! I adore NMH (one of my most important music influences) so I take that compliment in the highest of gratitude and grace. It's really just a matter of getting your heart in the right place and writing a song that your heart gets into! YOU CAN DO IT!
Such sincere vocals... Kinda like Neutral Milk Hotel's. I always wished I could sing like this.
@TenLittleRabbits: Well I'm glad I could give them the royal treatment they deserve!
Dude. I fucking love castles. And you definitely did them justice in this song. Great stuff man.
Nice tracks overall but clipping is driving me mad.
I like this moment of more silent sound :)
Great job at vocals!
Cool tunes. Loving the Andrew WK style use of the Brass keyboard voice!
@DZanch: Thank you very much! And trust me, no plans of slowing down yet ;)
What an epic intro, i loved it, this song is awesome, very uplifting. Unique and charismatic, you're carrying these songs so well don't stop evar!
Not bad for not being my style of music. Can't really comment on the mixing cause I have shitty headphones on right now. But Sounds good man. Thanks for your feedback and sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Peace!
Wow that synth/organ/whatever is really nice also I like your songwriting simple and catchy really fun music
@t0plodr: Thank you very much! It's a pretty weird song, but I have fun! So thank you for listening! it's appreciated! Keep with the chiptunes too! You're doing awesome!
I love this so much for some strange reason, love your vocals i suppose.
@BIGHAPPY: You're too kind! But thank you! I'm very proud of this one! Thanks for listening!
this rules so hard
@Jhost: I do actually! I play all the instruments in all of my songs!
