A passion for music, a stroke of luck and a dedicated work ethic led Ludovika to his goal of being recognized as one of the emerging young artists in electronic dance music today.

Lodewijk Michael Klosse, aka Ludovika, discovered an interest in music at a young age while growing up in the Netherlands’ countryside. With a natural ability on the piano and drums, he began to develop his fundamental skills throughout his childhood. He entered down a musical journey where at 16 years old he discovered the sounds of renowned Dutch DJs such as Tiesto and Armin van Buuren, defining his interest in EDM. Fascinated by their worldwide recognition and incredible passion for the genre, he set a goal to reach the same notability in his professional career.

In 2008, luck changed the course of his future when he won 10,000 Euros in a poker tournament, which he used to purchase his first set of turntables. Ludovika leveraged a friendship with a local nightclub owner to practice and develop his style while the club was closed. After a few months and countless hours of work, the owner took a risk, letting Ludovika open for another act at the venue. He was an instant favorite among the local crowd and was headlining shortly thereafter.
 
His career took a major turn in 2010 when he won a local DJ contest, opening the doors to performing at clubs and festivals throughout Europe. In August of that year, he performed in front of 10,000 people at the Dancetour festival alongside major talent such as Afrojack, Chuckie, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano.

The excitement and energy he felt playing in front of such a magnificent crowd and opening for Afrojack made him want to work day and night to further advance his skills.  He was quickly on his way to producing his own music, experimenting with bootlegs and mash-ups before eventually creating original tracks.  International music labels and booking agencies began to approach Ludovika after drawing a fan following through various social networking websites. This led to traveling the globe and performing with the top DJs in the world including Steve Angello, Kaskade, Bingo Players, Gareth Emery and Deadmau5.

Today, Ludovika is one step closer to making his impact on dance music as he prepares for the releases of his official remixes with Big Beat records and original tracks with top vocalists in the EDM scene. Be on the lookout for this breakthrough artist as he hits North America in 2013.
