Tria Kalistos are Kelvin Corcoran, Maria Pavlidou and Howard Wright. Recorded live at Bank Street Arts, Sheffield on Saturday 2 April (as part of the first Sheffield Poetry Festival); this was the debut public performance of the work (and the group). 'Helen Mania' first appeared as a Poetical Histories pamphlet in 2004 and was subsequently republished in Corcoran's 2008 collection 'Backward Turning Sea' (Shearsman). At Bank Street, it was performed alongside several other pieces including 'Alexiares in Exile' (also from 'Backward Turning Sea'); both pieces will appear on the forthcoming CD by Tria Kalistos, 'Yannis Told Us'.
