At one end of the District and Circle Line platforms is a mysterious iron grille set between the tracks. From it emanates the sound of running water - perhaps this is the now-buried Westbourne river flowing past on its way to the Thames. Recorded with Soundman OKM II Classic/Studio binaural mics.     I think what you say about the Westbourne is correct. I remember reading that somewhere.
