Montreal’s MAK was born in 2007. Two years later the current line-up including: Gabriel Drolet (Bass), Simon Labbé (Guitar), Samuel Béland (Keys, Percussions, Programming), Maxime Reed Vermette (Drums) and Jesse Mac Cormack (Voice, Guitar and keys), was complete.

MAK’s music is a blend of hybrid ambiences and refined musicality. Each member’s sound lends itself to the project’s originality. Jazz, Rock, Electro and Pop meet to create particularly intense melodic musical universe.

The richness of MAK’s music is the sum to their wide range of influences, such as Radiohead, The Roots, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bjork, Flying Lotus, The Cinematic Orchestra, The Doors…

The band has been quite active on the provincial scene, having played at such renowned venues as Quai des Brumes, Le Belmont, Il Motore, the Imperial Theatre in Quebec city and Club Soda.

The band is proud to present their first self titled album.
