Found playing the back room chill out at one of the legendary Mansion Parties (Leeds) in 1995... playing a quirky mix of abstract electronica, Pink Floyd, Indian raga's and dub

Soon after the Liquid Lounge was asked to present a show on the now infamous Leeds based 'pirate' radio station Dream FM, as they had an opening for the type of chill out and downtempo music that the Liquid Lounge were playlisting...

The weekly show, originally on Thursday's developed such a following, that a second weekly show was added for late Sunday evening's, under the moniker of the 'Ambient Twins', alongside Mark Platts... this was the perfect backdrop for chilling out to after a hard weekend of partying...

For the few years, that the Liquid Lounge on Dream FM, the playlist was entirely downtempo tunes carried across the genres of ambient, trance, dub, electronica, world, ethnic etc...

Through the exposure received via Dream FM, the Liquid Lounge were added to the programming schedule of another 'pirate station', Frequency FM (Northampton area), providing much the same kind of show as broadcast on Dream FM.

Due to the regular shows on the radio, the Liquid Lounge quickly gained a sizeable reputation for playing the perfect downtempo sets and became a resident for nights such as Sunday Service, Templehead, Dubterranean, Recovery, Party On..., Stimulations, 10 Bar, along with guesting in countless back room chill outs for clubs all over the north, as well as occasionally getting the chance to play on the main floors playing a higher tempo acid techno and hard trance...

Played and partied hard throughout all this time... and then became disillusioned by the whole scene...

Took 'early retirement' in the new millennium, for more years than I thought...!!!

I took time to travel, to rest and recuperate and have time away from dj'ing...

Then, along with everyone else, I discovered the digital age...!!! Having forgone the vinyl and opting instead for cd's and a laptop... and with it, discovering a whole new way to dj'ing...

Now I'm back to playing the music I really enjoy - chilled downtempo tracks with a dub influence, along with psybient, electronica, psychill, dubtech and on occasion the more uptempo set..., trance, techno or breaks...

Enough blah blah blah... it's about the music, so I hope you enjoy what you hear
