It's not clear where his journey began. Armed with a forgotten background in Carnatic classical music, Iyer swept the shores of Singapore with his enthusiastic take on music - delivering set after set of quality with a diverse selection of tunes. Iyer is not limited by his specialization in drum and bass, dabbling in playing and producing other kinds of music such as dubstep, UK garage, midtempo, house, and more recently, footwork. His humble attitude and open mindedness to different forms of music has earned him plaudits from the veterans and supporters of the Singapore drum and bass scene. Iyer has been featured once with an exclusive mix on Singapore's Meshradio, and twice on Sonar Radio for two different radio shows (SUKI SUKI DAISUKE, Panoptkn) with exclusive mixes as well. He has also been featured on Singapore's seminal live stream show, Panoptkn, to rave reviews. He has played at Bedsty's Good Times event at Blu Jaz Cafe - always closing the night with a bang. Having delivered countless sets of drum and bass and dubstep at the prestigious Home Club in Singapore - a venue which the great Goldie considers as one of his favorites in the world - Iyer is best known amongst the Singapore crew for his unique brand of technical, rolling yet minimal drum and bass and his bold, fearless mixing of different styles of music across the board. He produces under the Iyer avatar and is currently shaping up the first few releases of his digital label, Phyla Digital. There is much to look forward to on the horizon and the future can only be brighter.
