In 1993 my love affair with Japan started when we formed Lifeforce with Massa Horrie, Mr. Asada & myself Nick The Record.
The idea was to bring some of the UK underground warehouse & festival scene to Japan.
Before Lifeforce there was only clubbing in Japan, always using a studio or warehouse or open air venue Lifeforce is credited with bringing the idea of the party to Japan.
Lifeforce gave some well known djs their first gigs in Japan like Dan Idjut, Foolish Felix Dickinson, Lil’ Toni & Lee Insync.
Many of Japan's best underground djs & producers got inspiration & their taste for dance music at the early Lifeforce parties
Lifeforce is a legendary party which is still going strong today, with Nick as the resident DJ visiting 3 or 4 times a year. Lifeforce has made over 250 parties in Japan.
Nick has also released 2 official mix CD’s in Japan on Lastrum & Avex (Japan’s biggest record label).
