Li Ark is an alternative rock band formed at Darmstadt — nearby Frankfurt, famous for it's art nouveau — in early 2009, and consists of Christian Heyse (drums), Dennis Jakobi (bass), Shamidt (guitars) and Christian Strauss (vocals).
Inspired by past projects such as Mangrove 51, Ninos Santos and Planet Ersag, Li Ark creates a musical cross-over from rock, pop, reggae, dub and funk.
After one year of rehearsing, and recording sessions at Kohlekeller and Ironbar Studios, Li Ark self-released their debut album in 2010.
