Combining elements from different genres since they started out in 2002, italian eclectic Late Guest at the Party have always been able to cross several geographical and musical borders with their sound made of well-read electro lashes, engaging beats and catchy anthems, permeated by a peculiar r'n'r DNA and 90's brit-pop / rave hints.
Recommended for years by press and the web as next big thing and pioneers for every forthcoming musical wave, they sign for the first time in late 2007, after glorious music guru Steve Lamacq broadcasted their song We Were Young on Radio BBC One and suggested their demo as one of the best of that year.
They're first album Come Back Bobby Peru it's released in 2009 by 42 Records, one of the best italian indie label. Produced by Giacomo Fiorenza (italian indie's grey man since the dawn of time) ad mastered by Alan Douches (LCD Soundystem, Liars, Converge, Sufjan Stevens, just to name a few). Even if behind schedule, the album is still able to collect enthusiastic reviews and quite of a buzz, with articles appeared on influencing magazines such as Rolling Stone and singles played by radios scattered over the planet, from BBC again to smaller indie radio stations in the New York area.
LGATP promoted the album hitting the road for almost two years, from the biggest venues in the country to smallest bars, with their energetic absorbing live shows.
During this time, LGATP's discography gets bigger and bigger, with tracks featured in compilations distribuited by the most important italian blogs and press, remixes and a digital EP in late 2010 with b-sides and demos from the upcoming release.
Indeed, in 2011 LGATP move to NYC to record a new album, produced by Chuck Brody (Peter Bjorn and John, Shy Child, Bear Hands, RaRaRiot, Wu Tang Clan) and filled with collaborations with artists like Kenan Bell, Hesta Prynn, Randy Shrager(Scissor Sisters), Slam Donahue.
You Make Me Nervous is going to be the first single out and it will be released by NYC's Reynold's Recco, as a taste in anticipation of the new forthcoming record.
