LEON LICHT was born in 1988 in Berlin. At the age of 9 he discovered electronic music via German music television. His early superheros were BROOKLYN BOUNCE, SASH!, THE PRODIGY, DAFT PUNK and RUN DMC. His first self-bought CD was ´Loveparade 1998´ by DR. MOTTE & WESTBAM.
LEON LICHT played drums for nearly 10 years and used to play in a few new metal and punk bands which sadly never persisted longer then a couple of months.
After finishing highschool in 2007, LEON LICHT was nuts about clubbing. He went out every night from Monday to Sunday, met new people, DJs and club promoters and grew a solid base of nightlife connections.
In 2009, LEON LICHT promoted his first party at Berlin´s VCF club, where he became a resident DJ in 2010. He then started the event series FORMTANZ together with his chummy mate LUIS HILL and organised partys at Berlin´s HOPPETOSSE, K-PAX and VCF.
LEON LICHT has worked for OFF-RECORDINGS in the past and is currently working as a journalist for the music magazine FRESHGUIDE. As a DJ, he has played at around 40 clubs and bars in Berlin including KATER HOLZIG, WATERGATE, WILDE RENATE or GOLDEN GATE and became a resident at SISYPHOS in 2012.
Playing a variety of electronic music, LEON LICHT catches the groove at nearly every point of the party. He enjoys spinning smooth deep house tunes around 120bpm, which can be dark and gloomy or cheesy and trashy. At peaktime he fires hard knocking tech house grooves or even massive techno bombs at the crowd with a soft spot for progressive techno and cosmic tunes.
