I was thinking about dogs the other day. Dogs who fetch sticks in particular and how excited they become when someone throws the stick for them. I was thinking that it must be like a knee-jerk reaction. Flying stick? Must fetch! Then I thought about some of my own annoying knee -jerk reactions. Like trying to fix someone else's problems. Trying to provide solutions for everything wrong under the sun. :) This song is about that.

Also N ROY N dub. has done a fab remix/readaptation of this song. You can listen to it here at N dub.

I've heard it's easy to change
Substitute the sun for the moon, just like that
Scrambled for poached, I've heard that from my mouth
With some poor soul in front of me trying to duck for cover.
    I've listened to myself preach
To those who couldn't or wouldn't
    As if they were asleep
    What's that book called again?
"I'm OK, I'm Not So Sure About You".

If I could live my life again, and get to choose a virtue, I would go for patience
'Cause I don't want to need to fetch that stick again whenever it goes flying!
