In 2000, I made this sound montage with interviews with inhabitants of Molenbeek (Brussels) about public space in their town. For an anthropological documentary called "L'heure Bleu", we interviewed people on the streets, dealers, glandeurs & vendeurs, kids in youth houses rappin' on how the situation is now (i.e. in 2000). On the other hand, we spoke with retired people about the old days and life in general over a cup of tea. Featuring music by La Résistance, L'Ordonnance, and the song "l'etranger au paradis" (Gloria Lasso) which was given to me by Clémence, together with a stack of old 45's. Nine years later.. it still carries a message about the different attitudes, struggles and questions about living in the big city.
