LATA´s sound can be described as experimental electronics, heavily influenced by dub, dancehall and latin music, filtered through global technological abstraction and southamerican flavour.

LATA has released two independent records (Tánax en Dub Vol. 1, 2009; Tánax en Dub Vol. 2, 2010) and remixed the work of several artists.

Lately, LATA´s action field has been growing to reach a worldwide scale, developing collaborations with artists from Latinamerica, US and Europe and even remixing a famous hip-hop band from Taiwan and a floor-filling dance act from Ghana, without ever been to Asia or Africa before.

In LATA´s language the notions of global, local, uptempo, downtempo, static BPM´s linked to static genres,etc. are always obsolete. These old fixed ideas are replaced with the transnational, transcultural and free expression.

Dub aesthetics become dub ethics. The mixer is now the web. And the crossfades are now between creative minds located anywhere in the world, connected to the “INTERNATIONAL DUB CLOUD”, as Ebsa would say.

But above anything else, LATA is music made in Latin America.
