Music is a gift from God to me, and I use it to share His love for mankind.
Whilst in my mother's womb, I would jump whenever she sang, or listened to music.
My first instrument, an accordion, was a gift from my father around age 6.
My second instrument was a classical guitar at 9yrs old. For the next 13yrs, that guitar remained my only instrument.
I learned to play the Bass Guitar, and the Electric Guitar thanks to the church I was member of which allowed me to borrow instruments so I could practice.
I never asked my parents to buy me any instruments. And so the first instrument I purchased was at the age of 22. I bought myself an Acoustic Guitar, and a Les Paul.
In 2011 I found out that I had a tumour in my right hand that required surgery. At that time I was the worship leader for my church, a position I cherished very much.
The surgery meant that from December 2011 to about October 2012 I couldn't play guitar.
The only solution was to learn another instrument that was easier on my hands.
My parents had given my brother a Keyboard which he totally gave up on. So I learned to play the keyboard in a matter of months. I spent countless hours practising the moment I knew that I needed surgery.
Thanks to this little bump in the road, I learned to play what I now think of as my favourite instrument!
Three months after my surgery, a good friend Pr. John Curtis gifted me with a Roland XV-88 Synthesizer that has wonderful piano sounds. It was such a blessing because my church didn't have a keyboard or piano, and were borrowing one from our neighbouring church.
I am now fully healed thanks to God, and thanks of course to the doctor who removed the tumour.
I am very pleased in The Lord for giving me the gift of music.
And my SoundCloud is here to share with you the gifts The Good Lord has given me.
All Honour, Glory, and Praise be to Yahweh forever. Amen!
