In a band like Beach Beach, the brightness and relentlessness of 80’s bands such as The Replacements and Buzzcocks go hand in hand with the vivaciousness of the best indie rock of the 90’s (think about Lemonheads, Superchunk or Teenage Fanclub). In between all this aroma we still do hear echoes of the early My Bloody Valentine or the Orange Juice, which is a very nice sign of what and who inspires Beach Beach. In any case, the band prove themselves to be capable of developing a sophisticated and careful sound full of instrumental arrangements that perfecmind of its songwriting duo: Pau Riutort and Tomeu Mulet.
