Good things have started to happen to La Torre. Having infiltrated the hard drives and CD wallets of the good and the great since hs first release at the back end of 2011, the unassuming, dark sonic dubbery that has characterised both the East London producer's original output and remixes over the past couple of years has demonstrated a signature of intent, with 2012 undoubtedly marked out as a breakthrough year.

Releases on Stripped Recordings, Sounds Of Juan and Endemic Digital, Audaz and Cooperative Music/V2 not only received support from heavyweights Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Luciano and Hernan Cattaneo among many others, but also achieved significant chart placings on the likes of Traxsource (two Techno top 10's), Juno Download (various top 40's and a #1 placing) and Whatpeopleplay.

Having been fortunate enough to skirt the Mayan-predicted apocolypse that never was, the next 12 months are destined to see that theme continue with various projects slated, including the one that arguably started it all when, in December 2010, ‘J’ai Essaye (No Comprende)’ caused a sizable stir after finding its way into the Sasha Ministry Of Sound set that was subsequently posted on Soundcloud and received in excess of 70,000 plays. Two and a half years after its birth the record that has generated more heat than any other La Torre production to date finally emerged at the start of 2013 with remixes by ThermalBear and Dexter Ford - a pair of producers tipped by messrs Sasha and Hawtin as their breakthrough artists of choice.
