Brooklyn based vocalist and producer dr. Israel is releasing a remix album of songs from his latest EP “Ghetto Defendant”. Prologue to “The Liberation Chronicles”, “Ghetto Defendant” is a multi-media series telling the tale of a dreadlocked insurrectionist battling an evil post corporate empire. Designed to stretch the boundaries of current media and media presentation, the EP contains 5 powerful songs which stay true to the doctor’s revolutionary production history. “Ghetto Defendant” fuses dub, dancehall, reggae, rock, dubstep, and hip-hop elements, with commanding hook oriented vocals to create a futuristic musical blend.
The remix album includes bass heavy re-envisioned versions of the original tunes, from producers such as Mochipet, KJ Sawka, Kush Arora, Systemwide, Process Rebel, Tore Finstad, DJ Olive, and Papa Skunk.
