As a son or daughter we are often told, oredered, requested or taught to do and act a certain way. It can be the tone of voice or quirky mannerism that makes you say, "When I have children I'm never going to be that way". Or it may have nothing to do with the son or daughter. Just something, something signifigant about what your parents do or have done that makes you never want to be that type of parent, do what that parent has done or whatever. Yet the more you try, the more you fight it, in very often cases, some for better and some for much worse, you end up just like them anyways. What can you do about it? You're just repeating history.
