Environmental Group Asks Colleges and Universities to Divest Fossil Fuel Investments

Environmental activists in the Bay Area and across the country are asking civic institutions to cut monetary ties with fossil fuel companies in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. 350.org - a national grassroots campaign that tackles climate crises - is urging universities nationwide to divest their money away from big oil and gas companies. But the action may be difficult to accomplish in today's economy and not everyone is convinced that it's effective. Alex Kekauoha reports.
