@CaseyReynolds: look at the session (download it inside the app). he used a lot of amazing trickery. first he has at least two drums dedicated to synths with both oscs of each synth detuned to form a duotone. what I find more amazing though is that he reuses patterns but alters the melody by looping them for 32 steps and changing the pitch with a very slow rectangular modulation generator, accomplishing octave jumps, fifth transpositions etc. all while looping parts of the drum cycle (especially the chord synths) before the 16 steps are over by retriggering them earlier with a patch cable.
definitely things to keep in mind when making the next track in iMS-20
