Im a "retired from gigging" guitarist/singer. After 20ish years of playing Sweet Home Alabama in the bars until 2 am...well... I became burnt out. I. I will never be able to quit music altogether though.
I have never gotten into writing until I quit gigging. Now its what I would prefer to do. I have started listening to different music since I started trying to write...I discovered Jellyfish a couple of years ago..WOW!!! Then found several groups from them...Just got a Bleu cd the other day..thats some real good stuff!!
Im still developing my style...but its coming together. I hope I can incorporate all of my influences in my songs. The music itself seems to flow pretty easily for me..the lyrics are a different story.
My subject matter tends to be blunt and to the point..some could call it negative I guess...but its just how I see it. Dont write lovee dovee crap.
