The Kid is back! And he’s back in a BIG way. His new EP ‘Musik For Klub Kids’ – a dedication to both our label as well as the ‘club kids’ who support him week in week out – has gained some major support from just about every corner of the Earth with the likes of the Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Nick Thayer, JJJ, Capital FM (UK), Dirtyphonics, High Rankin , A.Skills, MARTEN HØRGER, Don Rimini, Rico Tubbs, Danny T, Doctor Werewolf, Blaze Tripp, Kyro & Bomber, Hey Sam!, Bobby Vena, Ember, Sampology, and many more all showing the Kid a massive dose of love for his new EP.
Perhaps the ‘biggest’ track off the EP was the electro beast that is ‘Your Love’. Written with Melbournian pianist and songwriter Justin Hunter and featuring the superb vocals of Gold Coast diva Jamie Lee Wilson this is perhaps our most anthemic release yet! Seriously, what a riff! But true to form it’s also about those heavy drops we’ve come to expect from the Kid! And in this case it’s a speaker-busting onslaught of lazer, bass, screeching synths, wobbly cuts, and crazy mad audio edits.
Being the Kid’s label yeah, we went a bit crazy with the remixes of course! Part two features the main man of jack himself Chardy who teams up with Zoolanda to deliver yet another super dope piece of jackin’ house bounce. BIG! Next up is Jam Xpress with a massive main room affair that is sure to have sweaty armpits reaching for the lazers from Sydney to Seattle and back again. And damn, what a drop (again)! Newcomer MITS steps in next. Although you may only be hearing about him for the first time, this young Melbourne producer has already been hard at work writing some of Kaskade’s biggest singles (for real!). And now you’ll hear why. A mad melodic house monster this will no doubt have even more sweaty armpits filling the world with smells of love! Rubberteeth and WellSaid step in next with another bouncey rework. This one locks you in and won’t let you go. Not until you’ve been well and truly bounced to death anyway.
Okey dokey, that’s it from us. Let’s ‘rollllllll it out’!
