Dr Bernard Attard, University of Leicester

Dr Bernard Attard, a graduate of the University of Melbourne with a doctorate from the University of Oxford, presents the annual Reese Lecture for the Menzies Centre. Dr Attard has published widely on Anglo-Australian finance and imperial financial diplomacy and on the finance culture of the City of London and his lecture will in part report the startlingly revisionist findings from his major ESRC-funded research project ‘Australasia and International Capital Markets, 1850-1950’.
