About

Formed in a bedroom in late 2008, Kill The Waves make dreamy, experimental pop.

Tim, Heather, John-Luke, Rob and Joe came together through mutual friends whilst living in Glasgow. A shared love of leftfield music by the likes of Radiohead, Bjork, Beck and Four Tet made them decide to start making music of their own.

2010 and 2011 saw Kill The Waves playing alongside the likes of Dam Mantle, Barn Owl, High Places, Wild Nothing, Pantha Du Prince, and Glasser. Keep an eye out for even more lovely gigs to come!

"Kill The Waves are a youthful yoke of talent. With syncopated electronic loops peppered throughout their songs, flowing almost Spanish guitars and strings of deliverance they conjure fascination. Tim Kwant’s vocals are as pure as a child’s utterances and as beautiful as the snow’s first laying." - Halina Rifai, Glasgow PodcART
