This is a great snapshot of the downtempo that made my summer in the hot hot hot days of 2001 in Windsor Terrace in Brooklyn. The first 5 tracks I think are one of the best blends I've ever put together:
Boards of Canada - Beautiful Place Out In The Country
Mos Def - If You Can Huh You Can Hear
DJ Vadim - The Schematics (Jamie Hodge Remix)
Blackalicious - I forget the name
Funkarma - Supa Spees
There's lots of other good stuff in there classic to that time, Amon Tobin - 4 Ton Mantis, Nightmares on Wax - Capumcap, a great Flanger tune, High Llama's remixed by Cornelius. And all clocking in at under 45 mins. It was a Jungly time for me but this mix was already reaching back to my trip-hop roots from 95/96.
Throw on post rave or just when you want to chill and float away
