      What track is this?

    2. kiddphunk on October 29, 2009 18:35

@jessebrede: the classic funk track is mccrae's 'i get lifted' over top of a wazulu track, forget which one at the moment

Mr. Fancy pants over here haha :) I played this track into Subvert's "Unknown Virus" track at a show a while back...they both have that sweet Indian sound (it's a sitar that makes that sound right?)

    2. kiddphunk on July 01, 2009 07:04

@DJ PWR: hmmm i want to say that it is actually some other indian instrument, but i don't know what. ahh ya that'd be a sweet mix - i'm a sucker for whompy indian tinged stuff.... i've got a whompy indian track on my forthcoming album in fact

    3. DJ PWR on November 08, 2009 00:58

@kiddphunk: If you don't mind would u minding p.m.ing me some indian breaks producer recoomendations please. Used to know of quite a few, couple yrs. ago

    2. kiddphunk on July 01, 2009 07:06

@DJ PWR: I rarely start out a set saying, "I'm gonna spin a tipper track tonight" and yet it always seems to - there is so much great stuff that can work with other tunes... bill / soteg's tracks are like that as well

It's slightly shotty into the next track, but I love your mix of tracks & sounds for this intro to who you are.

    2. kiddphunk on January 05, 2009 03:08

@DJ PWR: I agree - it was a last minute addition (not present in the first version I posted here) when I realized that I could use that intro from another track of mine and put it in as a callout... could certainly be a better transition (the original track this was an intro for was much faster) but I figured I'd err on the side of inclusion vs. exclusion on it since it is a neat cut-up intro...

This break, then mix.. is simply awesome... so cool.. so uplifting... but i want to hear it after 1 minute... ,aybe even 45 seconds.... not 3:08. I see it as your first 'signature move' in this mix.. and i want it to happen earlier.

    2. kiddphunk on December 12, 2008 12:51

@ArK47: i agree... i actually added this only when i went back and fixed the scratched mix (i think we might be commenting on the older version here?)... remember this intro and this was really the only place to put it, after the invocation but before the rest of the set...

Rather than using Kraddy's epic tune here as a centerpiece as it usually is, I decided to sprinkle it in here and there, building it up until the end, using the energy of the other track to carry it

@kiddphunk: justice track feels forced. imo.

    3. kiddphunk on December 12, 2008 13:04

@ArK47: unfortunately, this justice track kinda feels forced as-is, much less mixed in... but i really wanted that on here as a capsule of tracks that influenced me, and i wanted to put that holy ghost track on top of it... both kinda nu-disco tracks
