"Funkshone began as a solo project put together by UK Musician, DJ and Producer Mike Bandoni. A multi-instrumentalist, most notably known for his talent behind the drums, he wrote and released Purification in 2006 on UK label Skyline Recordings and produced this and several other instrumental tracks alongside Co-producer Nino Auricchio. As a 45 Purification parts 1 & 2 went on to become a much loved record amongst the global Funk contingent and was also included in the debut album entitled 'Shining' released in 2008 on Skyline Recordings. Funkshone have since gone on to become a 9 piece band and are releasing their 2nd album early in 2012, again on Skyline Recordings. Bringing us right up to date we have the alliance between Funkshone and Kenny Dope Gonzalez. Although aware of the work of Funkshone to date, Kenny recently revisited Purification and felt the need to remix this like many other Funk classics within his enviable catalogue and presents to you a continuation of an obscure Funk masterpiece and a worthy answer to Purification Parts 1 & 2; Purification Parts 3 & 4. Whilst not many works of any genre come in 4 parts, this one does and is sure to set dance floors ablaze across the globe."
