Pornography is a big industry—especially in Southern California. It claims to generate 1 to 2 billion dollars and provide as many as 10,000 jobs. But it’s the few hundred performers who are the targets of Measure B on next month’s LA County ballot. It would require condoms for all male performers—in the interests of preventing the spread of sexually transmitted disease. What would it take to enforce the new law? Would there still be an audience for the films? Would the industry leave town—taking away all those jobs? Would it work, or would a legal industry be pushed underground where the risks would be even greater. Public health and medical organizations support it. But—as we’ll hear tonight-- it’s divided business interests—and the performers themselves.

Mr. Weinstein, If Pornographers are the Producers, then you need to include every female talent that runs their own website, which a very large group of women do. Your attempt to demonize producers of porn is insulting to the exact same people you claim to want to protect. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation billboard says "Pornographers Say Vote No on Measure B", you do understand you're talking about 100's of talent that self produce porn as well, right?

Mr. Weinstein, Hot Dog Stands, Restaurants & Massage Parlors all deal directly with the public, the adult industry does not. You compare Adult Film Sets to Tattoo Shops, Massage Parlors & Bath Houses, which is totally misleading the voters. Again, the the general public is not involved with the creation of adult films, but they do directly deal with the other places you name.

Former "pornstar" Derrick Burts claims he contracted STD's including HIV on Adult Industry sets, what isn't mentioned in the commercial is that he was also a male escort during that time. Since no other performer contracted HIV or tested positive for it, isn't it a good possibility he contracted it on one of his other "jobs"? Here's a link to an article from September 26, 2011 with an image of Derrick Burts Rentboy.com escorting page. Why is AIDS Healthcare Foundation President Michael Weinstein not telling the whole story? http://therealpornwikileaks.com/exclusive-emails-reveal-why-derrick-burts-backed-out-of-a-polygraph-test/
