You don't have to be an art lover to appreciate Alexander Calder. His large scale sculptures and mobiles are playful and poetic--and iconic. Now, a rare show of Calder pieces is up at the L & M Gallery in Venice. KCRW art critic Hunter Drohojowska-Philp calls it a mini-retrospective. She had the rare chance to sit down and talk with the steward of Alexander Calder's legacy, his grandson, Alexander Rower, who came to town to supervise the installation. KCRW's Lisa Napoli talked to her about the exhibit, and that conversation.
