Need a gift for a gifted musician?
Karraskilla's sound is thick with shadows of his past adventures in rock, funk, and Latin jazz - enough to be dubbed by one artist as "classic psychedelic in a modern package". His productions have also been described as "pretty wild", and "no hype, no recipe, just fresh unexpected surprising music." Klubbers from Spain quoted “ The most curious music coming from Colombia “; from German magazine Debug: "Very fine and surprisingly Deep plate", RCRD-LBL curators said ” One of the great things about techno is that you're often enjoying unidentifiable music” while reviewing Karraskilla’s Tren Siete Expreso Cali.
In 2008, he co-founded the popular New York City-based Biatch Corp Recordings label with 14 techno releases under the growing catalog, including Karraskilla’s “Su Merced el Pimp EP”,”Tren 7 Expreso Cali EP”, “Mi Amigo el Efimero EP” and “Premiun Traditional EP” in collaboration with artist like: Rob Rives (Wave Music, NRK Music), Ascii Disko (Moonbotique, Pale Records), Brendon Moller ( Echochord, Connaisseur), Perc (CLR, Perc Trax), Pawas(Flash, Spectral), Jussi Pekka (Frozen North, Poker Flat, Audiomatique), Bettosun (Monorecords) and many more who share the vision of the label and his career.
Karraskilla’s works has been released also by Hidden Recordings, and Fade Records of Chris Fortier.
During his stay in New York Karraskilla toured most of the big clubs as Studio B, Cielo, Hiro, Sullivan Room and Rebel; as well as underground premier venues as Resolute, Basic NYC, Sheik 'n' Beik and Trilogy parties.
Karraskilla is currently dreaming about Lapstor Poler his new child.
