This is with the famous quote by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe in mind that Karl Petzold explores his two domains, image and music. Constantly seeking to magnify the close connexions between those disciplines, he's quickly move to electronic music, from House to Techno without ever losing the sight of his attraction to dark, mental and fine aesthetics. His artwork questions the notion of perception, senses, feelings and also hypnosis and confusion, taking visual codes from what he's inspired by.
As a graphic designer, he worked during 2009 with Danton Eeprom for the album Yes Is More in the Fondation Records label. This meeting was a revelation that gave him the ambition to follow his own way in music. He creates Beyond The Line in 2010 with his longtime friend Arthur Gentils and played since in different Parisian clubs with Scratch Massive, Tomas More, Remote or Superpitcher...
