Diversity. A word claimed by many, but delivered by few. Artists often breaking personal promises of playing musically diverse sets, but falling short of stepping out of their comfort zones. Coming from a background of heavy metal and punk rock, Kane Michael lives and breathes diversity through his unique individuality.
Unhappy with the state of the electronic scene, and most of the music he comes across, Kane Michael has been expanding his musical force deep into Southern California by saying no to trends and forging his own musical paths.
With a massive blend of dark techno, psytrance, and drum & bass, Kane's sound has been described as raw, unrelenting, and straightforward. "No frills, only thrills," as he says. Which has all been refined due to being mentored by industry legend Steve Duda.
Not to fall short of getting stuck in one genre, he draws influences with everything from electronic music, classical, to even heavy metal and the blues. Kane attributes his trend breaking tastes to "being just a pure music enthusiast". His sets range anywhere from bouncy tech to banging psytrance and drum & bass. All this while keeping with his overall dark, driving theme. With support from artists such as Simon Patterson, Will Atkinson, Jordan Suckley, Boomjinx and more, Kane has been making quite a name for himself by going places most artists musically refuse to go. And with a massive arsenal of originals just waiting to be unleashed, Kane Michael is a name you will not be forgetting.
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
